The Buffalo Bills were fairly quiet during the legal tampering period but that was due to the fact that they were busy bringing back a number of their key free agents. However, the team did make some reported moves like signing wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders and punter Matt Haack.

With free agency officially kicking off at 4 PM today, let’s take a look at the current state of the roster and what positions the Buffalo Bills may address in the near future.

Buffalo Bills Quarterbacks

Josh Allen, Jake Fromm, Davis Webb

The Buffalo Bills have three quarterbacks under contract starting with Josh Allen. The franchise quarterback is technically entering the final year of his rookie contract however the Bills do have the fifth-year option. This is almost guaranteed to be picked up, which would keep him in Buffalo through 2022, unless they are able to agree on a long-term deal.

After Allen, there are some questions about whether or not the team will add a veteran backup. The past few seasons that has been Matt Barkley, who certainly could come back, or the Bills may elect to go with Jake Fromm, who was a fifth-round pick last year. Another option would be Davis Webb, who spent most of last season on the practice squad.
