While the Buffalo Bills have made some excellent moves in the week leading up to free agency, they have also had to make some tough decisions to make that possible. One of those tough decisions was to release wide receiver John Brown.

The speedy receiver joined the Buffalo Bills in 2019 and became the team’s top wide receiver as he finished with over 1,000 receiving yards and six touchdowns. He certainly was a key part of the improvements Josh Allen and the passing game had that season.

Even though Brown was productive, the offense really needed that number one wide receiver which eventually became Stefon Diggs. This should have set up John Brown to be the number two wide receiver, which is a role that seems to fit his skill set more.

However this past season, Brown dealt with a number of injuries that limited his ability to get on the field and when he was playing it was apparent he was still not fully healthy. This, combined with the emergence of rookie Gabriel Davis, allowed the Buffalo Bills to release Brown without creating a significant need at the position.

Now that John Brown is a free agent, there is no doubt that he will be highly sought after as a number of teams could use a player like him with his ability to stretch the field. These are four teams that should be interested in adding former Buffalo Bills’ wide receiver John Brown.
