As recently reported by Justin Melo of the Draft Network, the Buffalo Bills have met or are scheduled to meet with former UCLA Bruin Demetric Felton. The mere fact that the Bills are interested in a player like Felton means that they are exploring the possibility of replacing McKenzie through the draft.

Felton is a jack-of-all-trades that wore various hats for the Bruins during his four years at UCLA. Felton has been listed as both a running back and a wide receiver on their roster, but also added value as a kick returner.

During his time as a Bruin, Felton almost accumulated 1,000 yards on the ground and through the air, just falling short in the receiving department with 958 receiving yards. In addition to his yards from scrimmage, Felton averaged 23.5 yards per kick return with a total of 611 yards, and that included one kick return for a touchdown.

Although 2,000 all-purpose yards in four years isn’t all that impressive, someone with this kind of versatility is all the Buffalo Bills need. If Felton can provide 500 yards from scrimmage, 250 rushing and 250 receiving, he would already be contributing more to the Bills from production of yards perspective than McKenzie ever did in one season. Then adding in his value as a kick returner, Felton could be a quality first year contributor to the Buffalo Bills and has a chance to slide down to day three of the draft.
