Mario Addison

2021 Cap Hit: $10,162,980

2021 Cap Savings: $8,182,980

2021 Dead Cap: $2,000,000

2022 Dead Cap: $2,000,000

The first player is defensive end Mario Addison, who signed a three-year deal with the team last season. However, the stats were a bit underwhelming and at 33 years old, the Bills could look to release the veteran.

However, this is a move that likely doesn’t happen unless the front office is confident they can make a corresponding move. When the Bills released John Brown and Quinton Jefferson, they had their replacements already on the roster. That isn’t the case at defensive end and there isn’t a clear answer of who steps into Addison’s role if he were to be released.

He is the player on this list that would result in the most cap savings if the Bills designate him as a post-June 1st release with over $8 million in savings. The issue for Brandon Beane will be how he replaces him in the lineup.
