Tyler Ervin

The last player on this list is Tyler Ervin, who recently played with the Green Bay Packers. He was initially a fourth round pick by the Houston Texans in 2016 and played the first three seasons in Houston. He spent time on the Baltimore Ravens practice squad and then split the 2019 season between the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Packers.

The Packers re-signed him to a one-year deal this past offseason.

Ervin is one of the few players on this list that has significant experience in the NFL returning kickoffs and punts. In his career, he has 77 punt returns with an average of 8.2 yards per punt and 50 kickoff returns for 21.4 yards per return. However, he has yet to have a return for a touchdown.

This past season, Ervin also did show he could contribute on offense as well which could be another reason the Buffalo Bills could be interested. In Week 8 against the Seattle Seahawks, Ervin played 33% of the offensive snaps and had eight carries for 24 yards and four receptions for 48 yards.

If the Buffalo Bills were to add Ervin, he could be that third running back on the depth chart that contributes as a pass catcher out of the backfield.
