Buffalo Bills: 5 teams that could pursue Matt Milano in free agency
New York Jets
The final team is the New York Jets and for them to acquire Matt Milano they would need to sell what the future might hold, not what they have done. The Jets brought in Robert Salah, formerly defensive coordinator of the San Francisco 49ers, as their head coach.
The new head coach will need to sell the scheme and the opportunity to play with players like Quinnen Williams and C.J. Mosley. They also can offer the most money with over $82 million in cap space available this offseason.
The Jets likely will have a similar pitch as the Bengals but the trouble is the New York Jets have even more questions at key positions. They also are probably the farthest from the playoffs currently of the other teams on this list.
There is no question when free agency starts later this month, Matt Milano will have plenty of teams pursuing him. While it isn’t a guarantee that Matt Milano leaves the Buffalo Bills, the fact that so many teams could make a pitch doesn’t help their chance to retain him.
