Romeo Okwara

One of the under-the-radar players at the position that could likely outperform his contract and be one of the better bargains is defensive end Romeo Okwara. He started with the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent and after two seasons with the Giants spent the past three years with the Detroit Lions.

This past season was a breakout year for Okwara as he finished the year with 10 sacks, 18 QB hits and three forced fumbles. While he only had nine starts, he was a key part of this defense and ended up playing 67% of the defensive snaps.

If the Bills are hoping to sign Romeo Okwara, they could find themselves in a similar situation they did last year with Yannick Ngakoue. The new Lions GM Brad Holmes recently said a decision hasn’t been made about whether they will use the franchise tag on Okwara.

If they don’t this is the one player who could be the best fit for the Buffalo Bills this free agency when taking into account production and the contract he would likely receive.
