The Buffalo Bills should be in the market for some help on defense this offseason and a player like JaCoby Stevens out of LSU could be a perfect target. Stevens has been a key part of the Tigers’ defense over the past three seasons and had 190 total tackles, 21.5 tackles for a loss, 9.5 sacks and four interceptions.

Recently the safety sat down with Justin Melo of The Draft Network and was asked which teams he met with at The Senior Bowl. He listed four teams and one of those teams was the Buffalo Bills:

"JM: Did any of your team meetings stick out to you in particular as a great meeting?JS: I thought I had great meetings with every team but the ones that stuck out to me were the Colts, Jets, Bills, and Falcons. Those teams stuck out to me."

Stevens is an intriguing prospect for the Buffalo Bills and how he could fit in this defense. As Melo notes, Taylor lined up all over the field from EDGE to linebacker to playing corner and safety in the secondary.

Taylor said every team is looking for the next Jamal Adams, a former LSU Tiger, and what Adams brings to the Seattle Seahawks. The Buffalo Bills certainly could benefit from that type of versatility in their defense.

Another potential option would be that Taylor is the replacement for Matt Milano. The Bills are not expected to bring back their starting outside linebacker and Taylor who measured 6’2″ and 216 pounds at the Senior Bowl is physically similar to Milano (6’2″ and 223 pounds).

The versatility Taylor has would give the Buffalo Bills another player who can drop back into coverage to defend tight ends and running backs, similar to what Milano was asked to do. The challenge for the coaching staff is they may need to be patient and let Taylor develop a bit as he learns the position and NFL.

Next. Danielle Hunter is the perfect trade target for the Buffalo Bills. dark

The Draft Network ranks Jacoby Stevens as 274 among the 2021 prospects which means he could be a target in Day 3 and could provide great value down the road.
