Darron Lee

The final free agent is actually a player that finished last season with the Buffalo Bills in linebacker Darron Lee. He was a former first round pick by the New York Jets but hasn’t developed into that impact linebacker many envisioned. Lee’s best season in the NFL came in 2017 with the Jets when he had 94 total tackles, three sacks, and three passes defended in 14 games.

Last season, he played with the Kansas City Chiefs but was primarily a special teams contributor and didn’t play many snaps on defense. He joined the Bills at the beginning of November and was called up for two games and recorded one total tackle.

The only reason the Bills would be interested in bringing back Lee is if he showed something in practice over the final three months of the season that the coaching staff believes he can become a starter. He could be a bargain free agent that has the potential to become the starter if everything comes together.
