Making the case against signing Kawann Short

The biggest reason the Buffalo Bills might be hesitant to bring in Kawann Short is due to injuries. The veteran defensive tackle is 32 years old and has only played five games over the past two years. In 2019, Short suffered a torn rotator cuff in his left shoulder that ended his season and then this past year suffered an injury to his right shoulder after only three games.

However, even in the year prior to his injuries, he started to see his numbers start to drop and he finished with only three sacks and seven QB hits, which was the first time in his career that he did not have double digit QB hits in a season.

The question is was that down year in 2018 just a one-time thing or was it a sign of where Kawann Short is in his career.
