Joe Thuney

If the Buffalo Bills want a clear improvement they can’t do much better than Joe Thuney. He was a third round pick by the New England Patriots in 2016 and has been their starting left guard ever since.

In the past five years, Thuney has started every game and has only missed 41 total snaps over that time frame. He was named second-team All-Pro in 2019 and is one of the best guards in the NFL today. While injuries are something that isn’t necessarily avoidable, after this past season a player like Joe Thuney would make sense.

As much as the Buffalo Bills would love to have a player like Joe Thuney on their offensive line, the issue is going to come down to salary cap. The Bills have limited cap space and adding a player like Joe Thuney would likely use up any space they are able to free up this offseason. This doesn’t seem like a likely scenario when considering other needs the team has.
