There is a number of moving pieces this offseason for the Buffalo Bills at their offensive guard positions. This past season, the coaching staff had to deal with a number of injuries to key players at the position starting with Jon Feliciano, who missed the first seven games due to a pectoral injury suffered during training camp.
The Bills then added Brian Winters as a replacement but the veteran guard struggled early in the year. The team also moved Cody Ford inside this past season but he also suffered a few injuries, eventually having his season ended due to a knee injury suffered in practice leading up to the game against the Los Angeles Chargers.
However, towards the end of the season, the coaching staff found a combination that worked with Jon Feliciano at right guard and Ike Boettger at left guard. The offensive line improved with these two on the field but now this offseason both could leave in free agency with Feliciano an unrestricted free agent and Boettger a restricted free agent.
While there is a good chance both do return, especially with Feliciano recently saying he sees himself part of the Bills next year, the front office should have a backup plan and do their due diligence evaluating the free agents this offseason.
If the Bills need to add a free agent, these are three players that should be near the top of their list.
