The Buffalo Bills front office should look to improve the offensive line after a down year this past season. The challenge for Brandon Beane is they have questions to answer for players currently on the roster before they can formulate a plan on how to improve this group in free agency or the NFL Draft.

These are the top questions for the Buffalo Bills along the offensive line entering free agency.

Should the Buffalo Bills cut Mitch Morse?

One of the top questions the Buffalo Bills need to answer that could dictate what they do after is whether or not they should cut starting center Mitch Morse. The Bills signed him in 2019 and made him one of the highest paid centers in the league.

The move certainly made sense at the time because they were just coming off a year where they struggled to find a suitable replacement for Eric Wood, who had to retire after the 2017 season.

Morse played well in his first season with the Bills but this past season his play dropped slightly and he suffered another concussion that forced him to miss two games. The Bills now could potentially cut Morse this season, freeing up about $4.8 million in cap space but also result in over $5 million in dead cap space.

This is why the Buffalo Bills may try to restructure the deal with Morse that frees up cap space but keeps their starting center with the team. This should be the best option for the Buffalo Bills and a new deal could help them this offseason and not create an additional need on the line.
