Micah Hyde

The Buffalo Bills signed Micah Hyde as a free agent in 2017 and he is now entering the final year of his initial five-year contract. As a member of the Bills, Hyde, along with Jordan Poyer, have created one of the best starting safety duos in the NFL, and Hyde has been a leader for this defense over the years.

The question for Micah Hyde is how much longer he can play at this high level. He will be 31 by the end of the 2021 season so even a three-year deal would mean he will be 34 by the end of the deal.

It wouldn’t be surprising to see the Bills sign Hyde to what amounts to a two-year deal (one-year extension), possibly moving dollars tied to this year back to next season and align with the contract extension that Jordan Poyer signed that runs through the 2022 season.
