Buffalo Bills 2020 Season Report Card: Cornerbacks
Dane Jackson
2020 Season Stats: 5 games played (2 starts), 15 total tackles, 1 tackle for a loss, 1 interception, 1 fumble recovery, 5 passes defended
The Buffalo Bills drafted Dane Jackson in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL Draft and he spent most of the year on the practice squad. However, he did get a chance a few times throughout the year to start due to injuries and when the Bills had to place three players on the Reserve/COVID-19 list the day before the Arizona Cardinals game.
In the limited action, Dane Jackson played very well and had at least one turnover in each start with an interception against the Jets and a fumble recovery against the Cardinals.
Even in limited action, Jackson impressed and Brandon Beane said after the year he will have a chance to compete for the starting job. Outside of Tre’Davious White and Taron Johnson, Dane Jackson may have been the next best cornerback on the roster.
Grade: B-
