In 2019, the Buffalo Bills had one of the best pass defenses in the NFL and with all key starters returning, plus the addition of Josh Norman, the thought was they could replicate their performance. However, that wasn’t the case and the cornerbacks struggled at times this past season.

These are the grades for each player at cornerback for the Buffalo Bills last season.

2020 Season Stats: 14 games played (14 starts), 57 total tackles, 2 tackles for a loss, 1.5 sacks, 3 QB hits, 3 interceptions, 11 passes defended

In 2019, Tre’Davious White had a breakout year with six interceptions and certainly had a strong case to be Defensive Player of the Year. He earned a contract extension before the year that made him one of the highest-paid at his position.

However, this past year was a different story as the team’s number one cornerback struggled at times. This could certainly have been due to a back injury he suffered in the middle part of the season that forced him to miss Week 5 against the Tennessee Titans.

That game though showed just how valuable White is to this defense as Ryan Tannehill picked apart the secondary. This past year may not have been at the same level as 2019, but he is still an excellent cornerback.
