A.J. Klein
2020 Season Stats: 16 games played (11 starts), 75 total tackles, 5 tackles for a loss, 5 sacks, 9 QB hits, 4 passes defended, 2 forced fumbles
The Buffalo Bills signed veteran A.J. Klein in the offseason to be that third linebacker when needed but primarily be an experienced backup. He knows this defense well from his time in Carolina when Sean McDermott was the defensive coordinator.
There is no question that Klein played more than the franchise expected due to the injuries Milano was dealing with this past season. He got off to a shaky start to the year but Week 9 was a turning point for Klein.
In the game against the Seahawks, Klein had two sacks, including a strip sack, and four QB hits. He would win AFC Defensive Player of the Week for his performance against the Seahawks. He followed that up with 11 total tackles and a sack against the Cardinals then 14 total tackles and 1.5 sacks against the Los Angeles Chargers.
