This past season the Buffalo Bills entered the season with arguably one of the best linebacker duos in the NFL with Tremaine Edmunds and Matt Milano. However, injuries and inconsistency created some issues this past year. These are the season grades for the key players at linebacker for the Buffalo Bills.

Tremaine Edmunds

2020 Season Stats: 15 games played (15 starts), 119 total tackles, 4 tackles for a loss, 2 sacks, 3 QB hits, 3 passes defended

The Buffalo Bills starting middle linebacker entered his third season in the NFL and his third year as the team’s starter at the position. He once again surpassed 100 total tackles for the third year and for the second year in a row earned a Pro Bowl nomination.

However, the season started slow for Edmunds as he suffered a shoulder injury that forced him to miss Week 2 and seemed to impact his play for a few weeks after returning. This certainly raised the question about whether Edmunds is going to develop into the linebacker many believe he could be.

While it is a valid question after an up and down year, it is worth mentioning he is only 22 years old and the shoulder injury played more of a role than initially thought in his play early on as Brandon Beane recently mentioned on WGR550.
