Should the Buffalo Bills sign J.J. Watt?

While it would certainly make sense for the Buffalo Bills to try and sign J.J. Watt, knowing what they need and where they believe they are as a franchise, a signing of Watt could have lasting impacts past this season. If the Buffalo Bills were to sign Watt, it would likely mean they lose some younger players like Milano, who have shown success in this defense.

Whether it is a good deal or not, is going to come down to the details. If Brandon Beane is able to work out a contract, like a two-year deal, that puts a majority of the salary in 2022 with the expectation the salary cap is going to significantly go up, it would be a great deal.

However, considering that J.J. Watt is going to have plenty of teams chasing him, he wouldn’t have a reason to give the Bills’ a team-friendly deal. The Buffalo Bills should certainly do their due diligence but ultimately I don’t see J.J. Watt in a Bills’ uniform next year.
