Third Round: Jabril Cox, LB (LSU)

The decision about whether or not to bring back Matt Milano is going to loom large for the Buffalo Bills this offseason. If they bring him back, it will likely be on a rather large contract that essentially eats up all cap space that they could create.

This is why I don’t believe Milano will be back and makes sense for the Bills to add a linebacker like Jabril Cox. The linebacker played only one season for LSU after playing for North Dakota State for a few years. This past season Cox had 58 total tackles, 6.5 tackles for a loss and one sack.

Ian Cummings at Pro Football Network put together a scouting report for Cox and said he could be a good fit as a strongside or weakside linebacker. He went on to write:

"With his athleticism, he can do a lot of things that other linebackers can’t. In an NFL where that mix-and-match capability is so important, that’s a big point of emphasis for the LSU linebacker."

This athleticism is one of the reasons why I think this would be a great pick for the Buffalo Bills and could be an instant starter for this defense.
