Second Round: Richie Grant, S (UCF)

While the Buffalo Bills have one of the better safety duos in the NFL with Micah Hyde and Jordan Poyer, it would make sense for the front office to start thinking about a long term solution. This is why someone like Richie Grant out of UCF would be a great choice.

In the last three seasons, Grant had 10 interceptions, 258 tackles, 10.5 tackles for a loss and 16 passes defended. One of the things that stood out when watching Grant, and was mentioned in his scouting report on The Draft Network, is that he can really play either safety position.

This type of versatility is what makes the duo of Hyde and Poyer so effective as both players can essentially do everything that is asked of a safety. If Hyde were to leave after the 2021 season, Grant could step in next to Poyer and give the Buffalo Bills another great safety combination.
