Reid Ferguson

Another player at the top of the list is one that most fans don’t hear his name called almost at all during the Buffalo Bills season. This in fact is actually probably a good thing for long snapper Reid Ferguson.

Ferguson has been the Bills’ starting long snapper since 2016 and has been as consistent as any player over that time. In fact, it’s hard to remember the last time he has had a poor snap over the past four seasons.

That was one of the reasons the Bills signed Ferguson to a three-year contract prior to the 2019 season. The long snapper position is one that is often not thought about but a poor snap can take points off the board on a field goal or set the opposing team up in good field position on a punt.

The Buffalo Bills have been fortunate this is not something they have had to worry about with Ferguson at the position.
