Buffalo Bills 2020 Season Report Card: Wide Receiver
The Buffalo Bills coming out of the 2019 season had to like where the wide receiver position was with John Brown and Cole Beasley. However, that did not stop them from adding three wide receivers in the offseason headlined by Stefon Diggs.
The addition of Diggs, and rookie Gabriel Davis, helped take this passing game from good to one of the best in the league. These are the grades for each wide receiver this past season for the Buffalo Bills.
Stefon Diggs
General manager Brandon Beane made a big splash by trading four draft picks, including the first round pick last year, for wide receiver Stefon Diggs. The general manager felt they needed a true number one wide receiver but it is hard to imagine Beane was able to envision how good Diggs was this year.
He finished the season leading the league in receptions (127) and receiving yards (1,535) which also were good enough to set the single season franchise record for the Bills. One of the reasons Diggs was so valuable, and his performance this past year was so impressive, was just how consistent he was.
He had six receptions in 18 of 19 games and over 75 receiving yards in 15 of 19 games. He was one of the most reliable targets for Josh Allen and was arguably the best player on the team outside of the quarterback.
