As successful as the Buffalo Bills were in 2020 the defense left something more to be desired, below are the areas of the defense that will need to be addressed this offseason.

Although the Buffalo Bills defense struggled at times during this past season, they did a great job improving on prior performances. There were some bad games here and there for the defense, but the defense improved from game to game for the most part.

Including the playoffs, the Bills went 15-4 this past season, and in all of those 4 losses, the Buffalo defense allowed more than 100 rushing yards. Rushing defense was the most obvious weakness of the 2020 Buffalo Bills and it will certainly be addressed in one way or another this offseason.

The biggest concern for this offseason is that the cap space for next season is projected to be reduced significantly. This will make it almost impossible for the Bills to make any additions to the team, offense or defense, through free-agency. This makes the NFL Draft the primary area of focus for the Bills this offseason, as it is the cheapest option for the Bills to acquire talent.

With seven picks in the upcoming draft, fans should be confident that General Manager Brandon Beane can improve both the offense and defense this offseason. However, for this slideshow, we will be focusing on the defensive areas for improvement.
