Buffalo Bills: 5 potential draft targets to watch at the 2021 Senior Bowl
Jabril Cox, LSU (LB)
Another linebacker who has the skillset the coaching staff looks for linebackers in this defense is Jabril Cox out of LSU. He played only one season for LSU but finished with 58 total tackles, 6.5 tackles for a loss, and one sack.
The one thing that Cox could do a little better than say Chazz Surratt is he does a good job in pass protection as noted by Ian Cummings of Pro Football Network:
"That said, Cox is well worth an investment in the NFL Draft. The LSU linebacker brings upper-echelon athletic traits, and he also has the size to shed blockers and finish tackles with authority. He can line up against tight ends in man coverage, and he also shows flashes against slot receivers. Additionally, he has the football IQ and instincts to be a playmaker in zone."
Last year for the Tigers, Cox finished with five passes defended and three interceptions, including one defensive touchdown. If the Buffalo Bills are not able to bring Matt Milano back, the LSU linebacker could be a nice replacement.
