Chazz Surratt, UNC (LB)

One of the best stories of this NFL Draft is linebacker Chazz Surratt out of the University of North Carolina. It is due to the fact that he entered college as a quarterback and actually played 10 games at the position his first two years.

However, he struggled at quarterback and made a switch to linebacker which was clearly the right call. In 2019, his first season at linebacker, he had 115 total tackles, 15 tackles for a loss, and 6.5 sacks. He followed it up with another good season this past year with 91 total tackles, 7.5 tackles for a loss, and six sacks.

The biggest concern with Chazz Surratt is that he is very raw and still learning the position. However, he possesses athleticism at the linebacker position that is rarely found and could be an excellent potential replacement if Matt Milano were to leave this offseason.
