Defensive Line

One of the biggest storylines entering this game was how the Bills defense would do against the Chiefs run game since they gave up 245 rushing yards in the team’s first meeting in Week 6. The defensive line’s performance was significantly better as the Chiefs were only able to garner 114 yards on the ground, which included a 50-yard run by Mecole Hardman.

The Chiefs’ two running backs, Darrel Williams and Clyde Edwards-Helaire, combined for only 57 rushing yards on 19 carries for an average of three yards per carry. While both did find the end zone, the Chiefs weren’t able to do much on the ground.

The disappointing part against the Chiefs was that the Bills weren’t able to get much pressure on Patrick Mahomes when he dropped back to pass. The Bills finished with one sack and two QB hits from their defensive line in the AFC Championship Game.
