Linebackers

It wasn’t only the defensive line that helped slow the Chiefs run game as the Bills starting linebackers, Tremaine Edmunds and Matt Milano, also played a big role in containing this part of their offense.

Milano and Edmunds finished with seven tackles each while Milano was able to get one QB hit on Mahomes.

One of the key matchups in this game was supposed to be Matt Milano on Travis Kelce and the hope was they could slow down Kelce more than they did in Week 6 since Milano missed that game due to injury. While Milano wasn’t exclusively in coverage on Kelce, the Chiefs’ tight end had another big game with 13 receptions for 118 yards and two touchdowns.

There is no question that one of the areas this defense needs to improve in next season is their ability to slow down opposing tight ends.
