Below are the keys to victory for the Buffalo Bills in their matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship game.

After holding the Baltimore Ravens to only 3 points last week, the Buffalo Bills have survived and advanced to the conference championship. Although the offense didn’t play up to its usual standards, the Buffalo defense came to play and probably put up their best performance of the season capped off by Taron Johnson’s 101-yard touchdown interception return.

The question heading into this game is how the Bills will do going from playing the reigning MVP to the reigning Super Bowl MVP in back to back games. Although the Chiefs beat the Browns last week, quarterback Patrick Mahomes suffered a concussion in the victory. Mahomes is progressing through the concussion protocol, but until he is cleared by an independent neurologist he will not be able to return to the field.

Although Mahomes’ availability for the AFC Championship game is in question, it seems as if he is progressing at a pace that will allow him to play on Sunday. The keys to victory below will be impacted by the assumption that Mahomes will be starting for the Chiefs on Sunday.
