Perry Fewell

Another coach who has connections to not only the Carolina Panthers, but also the Buffalo Bills, is Perry Fewell. While he is currently working in the league office, he has spent over a decade as either a secondary position coach or defensive coordinator. In fact, his first job as defensive coordinator was with the Bills in 2006.

He remained in that role through the 2009 season and replaced Dick Jauron as head coach midseason. He left Buffalo after that season and spent five years as defensive coordinator for the New York Giants. Most recently, he was defensive back coach for the Carolina Panthers last season.

As defensive coordinator, one of the things his defense does well is force turnovers. In fact from 2009, his last season in Buffalo, through 2012 his defenses ranked in the Top 5 each season in takeaways.

If Fewell wanted to return to the sideline, a return to the Buffalo Bills could be a good fit for both sides.
