The Buffalo Bills are coming off their biggest win in over 25 years and are already preparing for their trip to the AFC Championship game. While the focus is still on this season, the Bills could be heading towards big changes this offseason on their coaching staff.

On Saturday, it was reported that offensive coordinator Brian Daboll is the favorite to become the head coach for the Los Angeles Chargers. However, he may not be the only coordinator heading to a new franchise next season.

The Buffalo Bills defensive coordinator, Leslie Frazier, is interviewing with the Houston Texans for their head coach opening on Sunday, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Leslie Frazier joined the Buffalo Bills in 2017 as defensive coordinator and was one of Sean McDermott’s first hires as head coach. He previously was the secondary coach for the Baltimore Ravens but was also the head coach of the Minnesota Vikings from 2011 to 2013.

Over the past four seasons, Frazier and McDermott have built one of the best defenses in the NFL.  After ranking 26th in total yards allowed in 2017, the Bills would finish second in 2018 and third in 2019.

This past season the defense ranked 14th but their most recent game against the Baltimore Ravens went to show Leslie Frazier can put together an impressive gameplan. They held the Ravens, who was the best rushing offense this regular season, to only 150 rushing yards and three points.

While the Texans would be getting a great coach in Leslie Frazier, the question is whether or not Frazier would want to head to Houston.

There are only 32 head coaching positions available every year so it is tough to pass up the opportunity if Frazier is selected. However, the Texans have a number of questions starting with whether or not Deshaun Watson will want to stay after voicing his displeasure, although he hasn’t formally requested one yet.

This uncertainty, combined with limited draft capital including no first round pick, doesn’t make this the best situation for a new coach.
