Secondary

The Baltimore Ravens finished 32nd in passing yards this season so the secondary didn’t have to worry too much about their passing game. However, they faced a tough challenge of maintaining their responsibilities in pass coverage but also keeping an eye in the backfield when Lamar Jackson would scramble.

Similar to the defensive line and linebackers, the Bills’ secondary did exactly what was needed. However, they also made two of the bigger plays of the game. The first came on the opening drive when Levi Wallace came off the edge to sack Lamar Jackson for a loss of 11 yards. The importance of this play can’t be understated as the Ravens were at the 25 and derailed a drive that looked like it was going to end in a touchdown.

The bigger play came in the second half and essentially sealed the win for the Bills, as Taron Johnson was able to intercept Lamar Jackson in the end zone and return it over 100 yards for a touchdown. This play put the Bills up 17-3 and put the game out of reach for the Ravens.
