Defensive Line

There was a number of stars on the defensive side of the ball with a number of them on the defensive line. This defense faced a big challenge in Lamar Jackson, who is still the reigning MVP, and he struggled with 162 passing yards more importantly only 34 rushing yards.

The fact they were able to limit Lamar Jackson on the ground started with the defensive line but it was a collective effort. The Bills got pressure on the edge from Jerry Hughes and Mario Addison, who combined for three sacks, but then had players like Harrison Phillips coming on a second wave that kept Jackson in the pocket for a limited gain.

The defensive line at times has struggled this season but this was by far this best performance of the season and couldn’t have come at a better time.
