Micah Hyde

When thinking about the Buffalo Bills defense, players like Tre’Davious White, Tremaine Edmunds, Matt Milano, and Jordan Poyer usually come to mind first. One player who is often forgotten when talking about the key parts of this defense is safety Micah Hyde.

However, against the Colts he made his presence known and made a number of key plays both against the pass and the run. He finished the game with seven total tackles and three passes defended.

One of those passes defended came early in the game as T.Y. Hilton was running a deep crossing route with Hyde trailing. The Bills safety was able to get his hands up at just the right time as he was able to knock the pass away.

He also had the final pass breakup of the game as Hyde knocked down the Hail Mary attempt by Philip Rivers.

When Sean McDermott took over as head coach one of the first big free agent signings was Micah Hyde. He has developed into one of the better safeties in the NFL and a key part of this defense.
