This is a breakdown of the snap counts for the Buffalo Bills against the Indianapolis Colts.

The Buffalo Bills entered their playoff game against the Indianapolis Colts with all their starters. Since the bye week they have been pretty consistent with their playing time and rotations.

However, in the game against the Colts, the coaching staff made some distinct changes to the snap counts for players, which are broken down below.

Buffalo Bills Offense

The most notable change on the offensive side of the ball was at running back, which was likely due to the injury to Zack Moss. The coaching staff had been splitting snaps pretty evenly between Moss and Devin Singletary.

However, with the rookie leaving early in the game it was Singletary that received a majority of the snaps, playing 66%. If Zack Moss is forced to miss extended time, this could mean T.J. Yeldon or Antonio Williams steps into Moss’ work or the team leans on Devin Singletary more.

The other change was at wide receiver as the team had all their starters since before the bye week and the team went a majority of the game with Stefon Diggs(93%), John Brown (97%), and Cole Beasley (69%).

The return of Brown meant rookie Gabriel Davis saw his snaps drop significantly and he played 54% this week against the Colts.

Buffalo Bills Defense

The Bills had five players play all, or nearly all, of the defensive snaps with Jordan Poyer, Tremaine Edmunds, and Tre’Davious White play 100% while Matt Milano and Micah Hyde missed only one snap.

One of the big changes on the defensive side of the ball was that there wasn’t much rotation at defensive end as Jerry Hughes and Mario Addison played over 75% of the snaps while A.J. Epenesa and Darryl Johnson played 28% and 19% respectively.

Another position worth mentioning is at cornerback opposite Tre’Davious White. This week the coaching staff had almost an equal rotation as Levi Wallace played 56% while Josh Norman played the other 43%. This may have been due to matchups against the Colts or could continue through the remainder of the playoffs.
