The Buffalo Bills quarterback ended the 2020 regular season the same way he started it with an AFC Offensive Player of the Month award.

This season Josh Allen has won a number of awards and rightfully so with the way he has played. The Buffalo Bills quarterback was named to his first Pro Bowl, won four AFC Offensive Player of the Week awards, and now has a second AFC Offensive Player of the Month award to add to his trophy case.

He won his first AFC Offensive Player of the Month award for his play to start the season in September.

As Buffalo Bills PR notes, he tied Thurman Thomas and Bruce Smith for being the only players to win this award multiple times in the same season. The year that Thomas did it, in 1991, he would go on to win Most Valuable Player. When Bruce Smith accomplished it in 1996, he would end up winning the NFL Defensive Player of the Year that season.

Josh Allen would help the Buffalo Bills finish the season with a 5-0 record over the final month and threw for over 300 yards in three of those games while having at least two touchdown passes in all five. He also had two games, against the San Francisco 49ers and the New England Patriots, where he had four touchdown passes.

He also cut down on turnovers over this stretch with only two interceptions in the last five games of the season.

These past few weeks were just an exclamation point on a remarkable season where he would set a number of franchise records including passing yards (4,544), passing touchdowns (37) and total touchdowns (45) to name a few.

The third-year quarterback now turns his focus to the playoffs as the Buffalo Bills are the two seed in the AFC. They will host the Indianapolis Colts in the Wild Card round this weekend.
