Josh Allen

In the Buffalo Bills team history, they have only eclipsed 300 plus yards passing four times in the playoffs. Only once were they able to net 400 plus gaining 404 yards during the 1989 playoffs against the Cleveland Browns.

During a franchise setting season, Allen gained over 400 yards twice. Two other times he went over 350 yards.

Touchdowns were also a regular occurrence for the offense with Allen throwing 37 and only twice was he held without. One of those games was against the New York Jets when in fact the offense was held without any touchdowns. The other was versus the New England Patriots when the Bills ran the ball twice as much as passing.

Don’t expect that on Sunday. Given the recent league’s worse struggles in defending the pass which plays right into the strength of the Bills, I would expect a huge stat line on Saturday for the team’s signal-caller. Don’t be surprised if you see a line like 32/40 with 375 yards and five touchdowns and zero interceptions.

Head coach Sean McDermott knows he can trust Allen with a game plan and isn’t scared to have him carry the team to another victory. With the advantage heavily favoring the passing game look for Allen to put up MVP caliber numbers.
