Antonio Williams
The Buffalo Bills run game hasn’t been very productive for much of the season but Antonio Williams provided a spark in the second half against the Miami Dolphins. Williams joined the Bills this year as an undrafted rookie out of UNC and has spent most of the season on the team’s practice squad.
This week with Devin Singletary and Zack Moss playing only 28% of the offensive snaps each, it gave Antonio Williams a chance at extended playing time. He would end up playing 44% of the snaps and finished with 12 carries for 63 yards and two rushing touchdowns. He also had one reception for 20 yards.
The performance by Antonio Williams was impressive and gave the Buffalo Bills a balanced offense that has been missing most of the season. There is a good case to be made that the Bills should call up Antonio Williams from the practice squad as the third running back for this weekend’s game to see if it was a one-time thing or if he could be a bigger part of this offense.
