Tremaine Edmunds

The 6’5″ MIKE linebacker out of Virginia Tech has displayed inconsistencies over the course of this season. Tremaine Edmunds started slowly early in the year but bounced back as Matt Milano was sparingly inserted into Buffalo’s defensive lineup. However, Edmunds continues to display the inability to diagnose plays or shed blocks at the point of attack. And during the NFL Draft process, he was ultimately projected as more of an outside linebacker because of his ineffectiveness in manning the middle.

There are still occasions when opponents’ rushing attack catches the Buffalo Bills by surprise. But the Bills’ offense has scored enough points to carpet any of the defense’s deficiencies defending the run. If Edmunds can recognize plays more effectively and get off blocks, opponents will have a difficult time moving the chains against this Bills defense, which would result in Buffalo’s offense having more opportunities to build leads and secure postseason victories.
