Second-team talent

It was kept under lock and key whether the Buffalo Bills would be playing their starters. With Josh Allen a mere 40-passing yards away from the previously mentioned record, it was speculated that they would let him toss the ball a bit and then yank him.

While that was sort of true, Allen did reach the record but ended up playing the entire first half. In that first half, Allen yet improved on his MVP campaign as he tossed three touchdowns in his short time under center.

Coming out of the half, Buffalo opted to start moving players to the bench to preserve their health for the games that really matter.

In doing so, fans got to see names that they have only heard of.

Antonio Williams, a practice squad running back out of North Carolina, may easily be the talking point of the day. As if the Buffalo Bills needed another running back to help diversify their prolific offense, Williams gave the Bills management some things to think about.

With T.J. Yeldon currently serving as the only other Bills running back not named Zack Moss or Devin Singletary, he may the odd-man-out. The reason being is that because Willaims is a practice squad player, he is eligible to be ‘scooped up’ by another team if he is sent back down.

As previously mentioned in other articles describing the difference between regular-season football and postseason football, adding another weapon in the run game may be a fruitful idea.
