Entering the final week of the NFL regular season, these are the keys to victory for the Buffalo Bills in Week 17.

After sweeping the Patriots with last week’s win, the Buffalo Bills could sweep the entire AFC East division with this Week 17 win over the Miami Dolphins. The one area that remains a question heading into this week is how much the Bills coaching staff will emphasize resting players for the playoffs.

With their current record of 12-3, the Bills have guaranteed that their first playoff game will be played at home in Buffalo, but if they beat the Dolphins, the Bills will have locked up the 2 seed and guaranteed that their first two playoff games, with a win in the Wild Card round, will be played at home.

With Josh Allen only 39 yards off from tying the Bills single-season passing yards record, it is likely the coaching staff will give Allen every opportunity to break that record this week. With that being said, how much more time will Allen and other starters get in Week 17.

As for the Dolphins, this game will be crucial in deciding if they get in the playoffs at all as well as their seeding in the playoffs should they qualify. Sitting at 10-5, the Dolphins have a chance to make the playoffs even with a loss this week to the Bills, but they would need plenty of help from other teams if that hypothetical were to take place. This makes this game much more meaningful to the Dolphins’ postseason placement than it does to the Bills.
