Josh Allen & Stefon Diggs
What else is there to say about the season that these two players have been having.
Since the start of the season, all eyes were on the shiny new toy that Daboll, McDermott and Allen had in their arsenal. With the lack of preseason due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was up in the air if the two would create the necessary QB-WR bond needed to thrive come Week 1.
Coming from Minnesota and an offense that had Kirk Cousins, there was speculation if Allen and Diggs would mesh. Having two seasons in a row where Allen’s completion percentage was nowhere near what it has been this season, there was fear if Diggs and Allen would actually work.
That fear has been squandered ten-fold as the two made history Monday night; Allen through the air to Diggs. With three receiving touchdowns on the day and 145 yards, Diggs was once again the difference maker that he has been all year. Whether it was taking the top off the defense on the deep routes or muscling his way in from the goal line, Diggs was not only Allen’s safe throw but his most dangerous.
The two have been clicking all season long and as a long playoff run seems to be in the cards for Buffalo, Diggs and Allen will be a lot to handle if they continue to play like this.
