Jordan Poyer

Replace: Justin Simmons

Among the three snubs for the Buffalo Bills, this has to be the biggest. Jordan Poyer has been having a career year and while it is only one part of the selection process, he had been leading the fan vote every week the vote totals were released this season.

Poyer has 117 total tackles on the season, which is the most of any safety in the NFL, as well as four tackles for a loss, two sacks, two interceptions, two forced fumbled and five passes defended.

While the Buffalo Bills defense has been up and down this season, Jordan Poyer has consistently played at a high level all season.

Among the three safeties to make the Pro Bowl for the AFC, the one he should have made it over is Justin Simmons. While Simmons is a good safety, he isn’t having the same season as Poyer as the Bills’ safety has more tackles, more sacks, more forced fumbles, more tackles for a loss and only two fewer interceptions.

Unfortunately, Jordan Poyer will have to wait another season to make his first Pro Bowl even though he played good enough to make it this year.
