Buffalo Bills: 4 Questions with Predominantly Orange about Week 15
Learn more about the Denver Bronocs before the Buffalo Bills face them this weekend from the site expert at Predominantly Orange.
The Buffalo Bills are preparing to face the Denver Broncos in Week 15 and I had a chance to talk with Travis Wakeman, who is site expert of Predominantly Orange, to learn more about this week’s opponent.
Question 1: Drew Lock is coming off one of his best games of the season but has been mostly a disappointment this season. What did the Broncos do differently against the Panthers that helped Lock?
Travis Wakeman: What was especially surprising was that he did it without his starting left tackle, Garett Bolles. It just seemed that Pat Shurmur called a better game than usual. He got Lock flowing with the short passing game and that allowed things to open up down the field.
Question 2: The Broncos are going to be without a number of cornerbacks due to injuries and suspensions. How concerned are you about this part of the defense and them matching up with the Buffalo Bills’ wide receivers?
TW: It’s a huge concern. As I have talked about since training camp, cornerback is the Broncos’ biggest weakness. Having to go against the likes of Stefon Diggs, Cole Beasley, and the rest of Buffalo’s weapons, it could get ugly.
Question 3: Who is one player who is a bit under the radar that Buffalo Bills fans should know about when watching this weekend’s game?
TW: It’s Alexander Johnson. He is quietly becoming one of the game’s best inside linebackers and currently ranks 11th in the league with 103 total tackles. He might be able to give the Bills some fits in this game.
Question 4: What do you think will be a key to this game and do you have a prediction of who you think will win?
TW: The key for the Broncos will be to get pressure on Josh Allen and force him to make quick decisions. If he is able to stand back in a clean pocket or use a designed rollout, he is going to pick the Denver secondary apart. This will be a tough game for Denver, one that likely won’t result in their favor. Buffalo Bills wins 27-16.
