This is a playoff race update for the Buffalo Bills in Week 15 and which other teams to root for.

While the Buffalo Bills didn’t secure a playoff spot last week, their path to a playoff spot and an AFC East division title is very simple. The Buffalo Bills need to win one of their final three games or the Miami Dolphins need to lose one of their final three games and the Bills will secure their first division title in 25 years.

The third scenario, which is highly unlikely, but if both the Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins tie in Week 15 they would also secure the AFC East title.

The Bills also could secure a playoff spot even if they lose this week against the Denver Broncos. In this scenario, the Baltimore Ravens would need to lose but they are playing a struggling Jacksonville Jaguars team.

The other aspect of the playoff race is where the Buffalo Bills end up within the AFC. Since the Kansas City Chiefs has already beaten the Bills, the chances to move all the way up to number one are slim. In this scenario, the Bills would need to win each of their remaining games, which is possible, but the Chiefs would need to lose their last three games, which isn’t likely.

However, with the Buffalo Bills’ win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, there is a chance they could move up to number two. They are only one game back of the Steelers in terms of record but with the head-to-head win, they own the tiebreaker.

Similar to the Baltimore Ravens, it doesn’t seem likely the Steelers come out of Week 15 with a loss as they are set to face the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday Night Football. After this week, the Steelers do face the Indianapolis Colts and Cleveland Browns so if the Buffalo Bills keep pace this week, the number two seed will still be in play.
