Chase Claypool

The Pittsburgh Steelers have a wide receiver group that could rival what the Buffalo Bills have in terms of depth with players like Diontae Johnson, Juju Smith-Schuster and James Washington. The one player though that likely creates the biggest mismatch is rookie Chase Claypool.

The reason he is a tough matchup is he has a unique combination of size and speed at 6’4″ and 238 pounds but is a big play threat with a 13.8 yards per reception average. On the season, Claypool has 47 receptions, 649 receiving yards, and eight touchdowns.

The Buffalo Bills have already faced a wide receiver with Claypool’s size in the form of D.K. Metcalf in Week 9. While the Bills won, Metcalf finished the game with seven receptions, 108 yards, and one touchdown. This week the coaching staff will need to come up with a little different gameplan if they want to slow down Claypool.
