Buffalo Bills: Keys to victory in Week 14 against the Pittsburgh Steelers

After last week’s impressive primetime win, the Buffalo Bills head home to host the AFC leading Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday Night Football.

With the performance the Bills showed on Monday Night Football, the hope is that national media can accurately assess the Buffalo Bills. The dominance the Bills played with in beating the 49ers should rescind any doubt people had in Josh Allen moving forward.

Often times, young quarterbacks will find success in this league early in their career and as they put more games on film, defenses figure out how to slow them down. Early in Allen’s career, he had some pretty significant struggles as a raw prospect but showed plenty of promise as well.

With every subsequent start in his career, Allen has shown improvement in at least one area he had struggled with the week before. His trajectory as a starter in the NFL has constantly been trending upward with the exception of a two-game skid here or there. After last week, some Bills fans are ready to put that game up there as his best game as a pro, and for good reason.

Conversely, the Pittsburgh Steelers suffered their first loss of the season last week to the Washington Football Team. Although the Steelers were undefeated going into last week, they had a tendency to play down to their competition. Even with that negative tendency, give credit where credit is due because the Steelers had done a great job prior to last week closing out games even when they were closer than they should’ve been.
