Buffalo Bills: Jaquan Johnson ruled out for Week 14 against Steelers
The Buffalo Bills rule only one player out for Week 14 against the Steelers.
The Buffalo Bills had a short week to prepare for their Week 14 showdown with the Pittsburgh Steelers. This gave the players one less day to recover and the coaching staff had to adjust the practice schedule to account for this with a walkthrough practice on Wednesday.
However, there was some uncertainty about who would be available as some players were limited on Thursday.
The official injury report tells a much better story as the Buffalo Bills have only one player ruled out, backup safety Jaquan Johnson. While he hasn’t played much on defense he did see regular snaps on special teams, which the coaching staff will need to find a replacement for.
However, outside of Johnson, the Buffalo Bills don’t have any players with injury designations. The first two days of practice this week the Bills had Jon Feliciano, Quinton Jefferson and Andre Roberts either sit out or be limited at one point.
The good news is that all three were full participants on Friday and will be ready to go Sunday night. Feliciano moved to right guard last week against the 49ers and will start there with Ike Boettger likely starting at left guard. Quinton Jefferson has been a starter but has been playing over 50% of the defensive snaps and is a key part of the defensive line and Andre Roberts is one of the best returners in the NFL this year.
Outside of Jake Fromm, who is on the injury report every week being the emergency QB and practicing away from the team, the other player is Josh Allen.
He is dealing with a knee and ankle injury suffered in Week 12 against the Los Angeles Chargers but it hasn’t limited him in terms of practicing or playing.
