Buffalo Bills: 5 players they should re-sign this offseason
Daryl Williams
This is where it will start to get expensive and the front office will have to make some additional moves if they hope to keep the next three players. It starts with right tackle Daryl Williams, who signed a one-year deal with the Bills this offseason.
The move has paid off for both sides as Williams has improved his stock significantly and the Bills have gotten an above-average tackle that has allowed them to move other players into better positions (like Cody Ford).
Williams was a fourth-round pick by the Carolina Panthers in 2015 but had a breakout season in 2017 when he would start 16 games at right tackle and earn second-team All-Pro honors. The next two seasons though were a struggle as Williams missed almost the entire 2018 season due to an injury and last year bounced around to different positions along the offensive line to fill in for injuries.
However, he appears to be over his injury from 2018, and having the chance to play only one position, has helped him play at a much higher level. According to Pro Football Focus, Williams has allowed only three sacks this year.
Depending on how the contract is structured, the Buffalo Bills should absolutely try to bring back Daryl Williams this offseason on a longer-term deal.
