These are the snap counts for the Buffalo Bills in Week 13 against the San Francisco 49ers.
The Buffalo Bills had one of their best games of the season against the San Francisco 49ers with a 34-24 win on Monday Night Football. This week the team made a few notable changes that are broken down in the snap counts below.
Buffalo Bills Offense
The most notable change here came on the offensive line as the Bills benched Brian Winters and moved Jon Feliciano to right guard. The team elevated Ike Boettger to replace Feliciano at left guard, who played every offensive snap. Winters did play some, 15 snaps, but this was due to Feliciano suffering an injury but he was able to return.
The breakdown at running back was also interesting as Zack Moss had been receiving about 60% of the offensive snaps with Devin Singletary playing around 40%. This week though, it was almost exclusively Singletary as he played 85% of the snaps while Moss played only 15%. This could have been due to Moss dealing with an injury or the fumble he had early in the game.
Buffalo Bills Defense
The Buffalo Bills activated Matt Milano prior to the game and there were questions about how the coaching staff would balance the playing time between Milano and A.J. Klein. After this game, it appears the team is going to bring Milano along slowly as he played only 31% of the snaps while Klein played 69%.
This also marks the second straight week that A.J. Epenesa was on the field for over 35% of the defensive snaps. This is a significant jump from the three games prior to the bye when he played less than 20%, although he did leave the game against the Cardinals due to an injury.
The coaching staff appears to be gaining trust in the rookie and with a second straight week that Trent Murphy was inactive, he appears set to be a key piece of this defense down the stretch.
